Duties / Responsibilities

The role is to manage the electrical sub contract package for various types of projects ranging from pharmaceutical plants to schools and offices. Our project engineers are responsible for the following:

Technical

  • Appraising and selecting the correct solution for the project.
  • Reviewing drawings and specifications to ensure they meet the requirements of all stakeholders.
  • Advising our site staff with regard to addressing particular technical issues as they occur.

Project Execution

  • Designing a coordinated plan for the execution of the works.
  • Liaising with the Design Team and Construction Management Teams with regard to progress and installation quality.
  • Monitoring progress of our installation and our subcontractors.
  • Developing and executing with the team a coordinated testing and commissioning plan.
  • Managing the handover process.

Procurement

  • Developing with the team a procurement strategy.
  • Managing the equation between value for money, quality and service.
  • Negotiating with stakeholders to ensure best value for both the company and our clients.

Commercial

  • Working with our commercial manager to manage the company account.
  • Monitoring and managing subcontractor accounts.
  • Assisting with evaluation of additional work orders etc.

Health & Safety

  • Ensuring all works are carried out as per site and legislative requirements.

Experience / Qualifications

  • A third level engineering qualification or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience working as an Electrical Engineer.
  • Experience in the Building Services and Commercial sectors is essential.

Key Responsibilities/Duties

  • Support Engineering Manager or Senior Civil Engineer in the delivery of professional Civil Engineering Services to Business Units to meet their specified requirements, ensuring that assigned projects are delivered on time, within budget, in accordance with specifications and meeting regulatory and Health & Safety standards.
  • Take ownership and management role in assigned projects from project brief. Liaise with relevant stakeholders in project implementation to achieve project goals including – Operations Management, Health & Safety Department, Mechanical, Electrical and Environmental Engineers and external civil engineering service providers.
  • Prepare Civil Engineering Designs for site specific requirements. Develop and manage project budgets and schedules. Prepare preliminary health & safety plans, tender and contract documentation including specifications, bills of quantities and drawings. Complete tender assessments; participate in contract negotiations and in contractor selection. Propose and evaluate value engineering proposals.
  • Supervise project sites and manage contractors. Ensure that works are carried out in accordance with contract documents. Record work in progress. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Construction Regulations and Construction Quality Assurance. Assess interim and final accounts.
  • Assist clients with planning applications.
  • Prepare reports including monthly progress reports, minutes, cost reports, specified engineering works, construction quality assurance reports, validation reports, drainage and flooding reports.
  • Proactively participate in the Performance Management process to ensure delivery of own and the wider teams, objectives.

Qualifications/Skills

  • BE (Honours) in Civil Engineering (Level 8) or similar.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project.

Key Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.

Trainee Planner- Dublin

We are currently seeking a Trainee Planner on a Full Time Permanent Contract. This role will be Dublin based.

Overall Role Objective

The overall role objective of the Trainee Planner is to assist a Senior Planner with construction projects, making sure they are completed within set deadlines, on budget and in line with all the relevant safety standards and regulations.  The Trainee Planner will receive Primavera P6 Software training, while receiving on-the-job training from a Senior Planner.

Key Responsibilities / Duties

  • Assist with the preparation and updating of project programmes.
  • Assist with the production of manpower loadings and progress S-Curves.
  • Variance analysis of client programmes.
  • Weekly tracking of progress and earned values.

The Quantity Surveyor will provide support to the Construction Team on all Quantity Surveying Functions.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Management and ownership of the commercial and contractual requirements through the lifecycle of the project.

Mechanical Supervisor – Dublin Region

Permanent opportunity as a Mechanical Supervisor.  You will be responsible for leading and managing several teams, initially on our project located in Ringsend, Dublin 4, which will be a minimum of 1 year.

MAIN OBJECTIVES AND DUTIES
• Maintain standards of safety and comply with company Health, Safety and Environmental Management System requirements (see full safety responsibilities below).
• Ensure the timely order of stock/material in line with the company Materials Group Report.
• Allocate daily tasks/work to all Foreman/Charge Hands.
• Performance management of team, including dealing with disciplinary issues, disputes and grievances.
• Assess the site work completed according to the job requirements.
• Assist the Site Foreman with the coordination of work from all disciplines as dictated by the project needs.
