We are currently looking for a full-time permanent HR Business Partner based in our Waterford office to join our team. Part of your role, you may be asked to visit our Dublin office or nationwide sites from time to time.

Overall Role Objective

You will work with the HR Manager to provide a comprehensive HR Service working alongside middle and senior management in the delivery of best practice HR solutions which support the business to achieve their targets.

You will support the HR Manager on a wide range of strategic, tactical and operational human resources matters including Talent Acquisition, Talent Retention, Talent Management & Development, Total Rewards, Employee Relations, Workforce Planning, Succession Planning, Culture and Continuous Improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supports the HR Manager in implementing L&D initiatives and talent development programmes
  • Manages Performance and Development Review process and Probation process. Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., counselling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Provides Employee Relations services, HR policy and procedure guidance in line with employment law and best practice.
  • Supports the HR Manager in preparing and monitoring HR Budgets, and by carrying out salaries and benefits research/benchmarking.
  • Assists with recruitment process and recruitment campaigns where necessary
  • Supports the HR Manager with the planning and forecasting of supply of labour
  • Conducts exit interviews
  • Assists with offer letters and contracts of employments for national and international assignments when necessary
  • Supports the HR Manager with employee engagement programmes, wellbeing and mental health initiatives; employee surveys; employee events and internal communications; HR data reports
  • Provides HR Manager cover including the management of the HR team where necessary.
  • Any other reasonable and relevant duties as requested by the HR Manager, necessary to meet the ongoing needs of the company.

Qualifications / Skills

  • A 3rd level HR degree.
  • Proven experience as a Senior Human Resources Generalist/HR Manager/HRBP having a good understanding of all HR functions, and with previous experience in L&D.
  • Experience in the construction industry would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Experience of dealing with Unions would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Ability to work under pressure, time management and multitasking are essential.
  • Ability to liaise and communicate with all levels of employees and management.
  • Excellent communicator both written and verbally.
  • IT Skills – Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint essential) and familiarity with HR software packages.

  • Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
  • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.

  • Provide preliminary sketches and cost estimates for materials and services.
  • Provide assistance during emergencies by operating floodlights and generators, placing flares, and driving needed vehicles.

  • Carry out design modelling and drawings of the Mechanical installation e,g;

  • Issue drawings as required to the project, client and suppliers, following document controls procedures.

Overall Role Objective

The BIM Manager shall be an expert in BIM and shall be responsible for establishing BIM requirements and workloads across the company, assigning tasks to his/her team as appropriate, tracking timelines and deadlines and ensuring efficiency in BIM tasks within allocated budgets.

Key Responsibilities/Duties

  • Establish and implement BIM standards and processes for the company, in liaison with the Technical
  • Develop BIM programmes relating to the overall BIM activities set by client/company expectations.
  • Manage the BIM team, allocating work as necessary, setting output programmes and targets, ensuring the timely delivery of BIM projects that adhere to company/client BIM standards.
  • Attend and offer expert advice during client design meetings during the tender process.
  • Manage the BIM relationship between the company, its clients, external consultants and project teams, acting as the point of contact for all BIM matters.
  • Ensure designs produced comply with the construction design and regulations and with company standards and procedures.
  • Monitor and control cost expenditure ensuring design activities remain within budget.
  • Provide conceptual design information to the BIM team in order to support Tender cost plans and estimates.
  • Provide support information to the Business Development and Contracting teams on expressions of interest and pre-qualification submissions.
  • Identify any design deficiencies and implement proposals/plans to rectify.

  • Manage the performance development of the BIM team ensuring they receive necessary training and information.
  • Stay abreast of software releases, recommend updates and areas for improvement, managing any adaptations, ensuring the company standards remain unchanged and the company remains up to date in BIM.

  • Represent the company at client interviews and other external events.

 Qualifications / Skills

  • Electrical or Mechanical Engineering/Trade qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in BIM.

  • Strong working knowledge of Autodesk and Revit software.

  • Assist with the development of Risk Assessment & Method Statements
  • Assist with the development of SOP’s and provide training and communication to site personnel.
  • Become familiar with and promote the ‘Suir Way’ and its interfaces with Health & Safety.
  • Report and Investigate incidents when they occur and ensure root causes are identified, mitigated and communicated.
  • Communicate Safety Alerts through Toolbox Talk on a scheduled basis.
