We have had a great kick off to our Safety Week – see just a snapshot of some our events yesterday. Suir Engineering’s Safety Week will run from 24th to 28th September. Everyone across the business including our suppliers, sub-contractors and clients will be involved in this unique event. As well as promoting and supporting the normal day to day safety and wellbeing of our staff and co-workers the themes of Mental Wellbeing, Emergency Response and Safe Driving for Work will be focused on throughout the week.

The 2018 National Ploughing Competitions commence next week in Screggan, Tullamore Co Offaly. For the last 2 months Suir Engineering have been busy installing the Electrical Infrastructure works throughout the site.

Suir Engineering are delighted to achieve a Gold in the internationally-renowned RoSPA Health and Safety Awards, the longest-running industry awards scheme in the UK.
The RoSPA Awards scheme, which receives entries from organisations around the world, recognises achievement in health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.

Paul Cremmins Director and Tom Prendergast EHS Manager of Suir Engineering accepted our Gold RoSPA Health & Safety Award at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole hotel on 4th July.  #RoSPAWinner

First M&E Company in Ireland to Achieve New ISO 45001:2018 Standard

Suir Engineering are both delighted and proud to be amongst Europe’s first organisations to achieve the new ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health & Safety standard in addition to achieving the ISO 9001:2015, and the 14001:2015 standard in conjunction with the EQA Ireland.

This makes Suir Engineering the first Mechanical and Electrical Installations company to achieve the brand new ISO 45001:2018 in Ireland. The migration to the brand new ISO 45001:2018 which was published in March 2018 demonstrates our strong commitment to Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety Management Systems and re-affirms our position as a leader in the Mechanical Electrical industry

The award of the ISO 45001:2018 represents the achievement of a very important strategic objective for Suir Engineering, This has not only allowed us to demonstrate the value we can provide, but the commitment from our leaders to provide a safe and healthy workplace for all our employees and stakeholders.

Successful collaboration, whether with clients or suppliers, is at the very heart of our business. It encourages innovation, creativity and productivity across the whole life cycle of our projects.

A special word of thanks to all the staff of Suir Engineering for their input and commitment to the achievement of this standard and our Integrated Management System.

Alan McGeough from Suir Engineering  was the very first worker on site at the NFMHS Portrane (out of 400 people) to receive the Rhatigan-OHL Golden Ticket award for safety.

Alan was deemed to be working in a safe manner wearing all P.P.E. required and ensuring barrier protection was around him before work commenced. Well done to Alan.

All Ireland Inter Firms Football Final: Suir Engineering  1-11 Medtronic  2-6

A late penalty proved the turning point in the All Ireland Inter Firms football final in Corofin last night as we denied Medtronic the double by coming from 5 points down at half time to win by 2 points. Congratulations to both the team and management on this wonderful achievement.

Energy Storage Europe Conference 2018 – Dusseldorf Germany

Suir Engineering were delighted to attend the Energy Storage Conference in Dusseldorf during the week. The trade fair welcomed approximately 4,500 visitors from 61 countries with 170 exhibitors . The conferences included the 7th Energy Storage Europe Conference (ESE) of Messe Düsseldorf and the 12th International Renewable Energy Storage Conference (IRES) of EUROSOLAR e.V..  According to the current estimate of the Energy Storage Association the energy storage industry will grow by around 11% in 2018 and will generate a turnover of approximately EUR 5.1 billion.
