Suir Engineering, has just announced that it plans to establish an operational footprint in Denmark in 2019.  The company will trade under the name ‘Suir Engineering ApS’ and will use its location as a springboard to grow its business in the broader Scandinavian market in the coming years.

The company made its announcement while attending ‘Datacloud Nordic 2018’ in Copenhagen on November 20th. Speaking about the announcement, David Phelan (Business Development Director) says “This announcement comes two years after the business commenced operations in Sweden and is the next step in our strategic plans to establishing a strong presence for Suir Engineering in Scandinavia.”

Commenting further on what was a very successful week for the company Phelan states: “Our announcement at DataCloud was positively received and during our visit we were delighted to have a reception hosted by the Mayor of Aabenraa, Mr. Thomas Andresen. We have also received fantastic support from ‘Invest in Denmark’ and ‘Enterprise Ireland’, both of whom have fully supported our expansion plans.”

Suir Engineering specialises in the delivery of electrical and mechanical installations and already has a track record in the delivery of multi-million euro projects across Europe. The company is focused on developing its services within the datacentre and pharmaceutical sectors and is currently pursuing a large pipeline of business locally in Denmark.

As a result of its expansion, the company will see employment at its Irish and Danish offices grow by 65 employees. The company currently employees 890 people.
