Suir Engineering were delighted to support the ‘Last Planner System’ event hosted by WIT. It was a terrific opportunity for us to join WIT School of Engineering faculty and students in their engagement with Professor Glenn Ballard from the University of California at Berkeley (a co-founder of the Lean Construction Institute (LCI USA) and the International Group for Lean Construction (IGLC), and one of the co-architects of the Last Planner System and Lean Project Delivery System); along with Professor Christine Pasquire from NTU (Founder and Head of the Lean Project Management Research Centre, and core member of LCI UK and the IGLC); and Paul Ebbs from NTU (co-founder of Lean Construction Ireland and now research associate with Professor Pasquire).
It was great to see the engagement and enthusiasm for Lean Construction amongst the 2nd year students from BSc (Hons) in Construction Management & Engineering; BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying; and BEng in Civil Engineering, working in groups with us .
Well done to all involved and thanks to Ann Power WIT school of Engineering for the photographs of the day
