Project Description:This project involved the Electrical Services Shell & Core Installations for an Office & Commercial development of Block C1 5-6 Hanover Quay, Dublin 2.​

The development consisted of 7 floors of office space over one level of basement car parking. There were also extensive site services works to the surrounding street level for incoming utilities and new public lighting scheme.

Suir Engineering were responsible for the following works carried out as part of the Shell & Core contract. The electrical engineering systems comprised of but were not limited to the following:

New MV distribution switchgear ​, New cast resin transformers ​, New main LV switchgear​, New life safety generator Installation ​, New electrical containment systems ​, New installation of general services ​, New computer based central internal and external addressable KNX Lighting Control system​, New computer based central maintenance and monitoring system in order to carry out the testing of the single point self-contained addressable Emergency Lighting system​, New addressable fire alarm system​, New disabled toilet alarm system​, New Category 6A structured cabling installation, New lightning protection, earthing and bonding and New Security System.

Keppel Project 20 Expansion & Upgrade

Project Description:The project was driven by a need to upgrade the existing infrastructure to meet the needs of Keppel Data Centres for the next 15yrs+. Works are designed and planned to replace legacy and inefficient M&E systems and to offer enhanced availability. Works were conducted in a live data centre environment.

The main elements of the works include MV Upgrade; LV Upgrade; Generator and Associated Fuel Transfer system; Cooling Upgrade; UPS Upgrade; BMS Upgrade; Fire Alarm and Emergency Lighting Upgrade; and Building & Ancillary works associated with the above upgrades

MFST Data Centre Sweden

Project Description:Suir Engineering have been engaged to supply and install the Electrical systems for this Data Centre Project in Gävle, Sweden.

As part of the project delivery team Suir Engineering will undertake the installation, test and staged commissioning to pre-IST of the Electrical systems or a part there of.

The current Electrical scope of the project is full building shell and core including life safety systems, 7.2 MW of load capacity within the first colocation white space, administrative block fit-out, associated critical support system installations, supporting site infrastructure systems and long lead equipment integration.

Project ARN51 Confidential Client, Sweden

Project Description:Project ARN51 in Katrineholm, Sweden consists of a Data Centre Building approximately 14,000M2 and will utilise 34MW of power at full capacity.

Cordal 110KV Substation Project

Project Description:This contestable 110kV Project is located in Co.Kerry and consists of a 3Bay 110kV AIS and 5Bay 38kV AIS substation. The substation was part of a large Wind Park development being constructed by Cubico Energy. The station is tail feed by 10KM of 110kV underground cable from the existing Eirgird Substation​.

Suir Engineering were responsible for the full turnkey project and took the role of Project Supervisor Construction Stage (CDM) along with responsibility for the following:

Slievecallan 110KV Substation & Cable Project

Project Description:This contestable 110kV Project is located in Co.Clare and consists of a 3Bay 110kV AIS substation located in Slievecallan.  The substation was part of a large Wind Park development being constructed by WCRE. The station is tail feed by 31KM of 110kV underground cable from the existing Ennis ESBN Substation.

Suir Engineering were responsible for the management of full Turnkey Project & PSCS role for the Substation and Cable route.

Project Description: A new biologics manufacturing facility in Piercetown, Co. MSD Biotech Swords Facility Expansion

Project Description

MSD Swords facility was established in 1990 and now employs over 600 people. The main activities on site relate to the manufacture of a range of women’s health products specifically in the areas of fertility and contraception. The site has also been selected to manufacture a range of new products which are expected to be launched in the next 2 years.

The new MSD Biotech Dublin project will consist of the following buildings:

  • New Warehouse Building.
  • New QC Labs.
  • New Central Utilities Building (CUB) to be built within the footprint of the existing Production Building.
  • New BDS Building to be built within the footprint of the existing Material Handling Facility.
  • Admin Building (Existing Office and Canteen Building).
  • Ancillary buildings and areas such as MV Building, Waste Water Treatment etc.

BMS CUB, Warehousing & Site Wide Utilities

Bristol-Myers Squibb in a global Biopharma company focused on it’s mission to discover, develop and deliver innovative medicines that help patients prevail over serious diseases. BMS operates one of its two bulk Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) manufacturing sites in Ireland at Cruiserath. This existing facility is a flexible multifunctional, automated bulk pharmaceutical manufacturing plant. In order to ensure adequate supply to the market of current & future products, BMS  decided to expand the manufacturing capabilities of its Biologics network at the Cruiserath site in Dublin.

Suir Engineering carried out the complete electrical installation to the following buildings:

  • A two storey Combined Utility Building 12 meters high, 3,508 sqm with 3 no. boiler stacks sized 25 meters high. Demolition of existing solvent tank farm/solvent recovery to support new build.
  • A single storey extension to the existing Warehouse Building 14.9 meters height, 2,343 sqm including the demolition of an existing drum stores sized 1,520 sqm
  • A single storey extension to the existing Electrical Building 8.3 meters high, sized 285 sqm and full upgrade of the site Power Distribution Network.
  • A Single storey Security Building 5 Meters High, 55 sqm
  • Upgrade of the existing Waste Water Treatment Plant and Waste Management
  • Site Wide MV Upgrade
